Notice to Bidders Apparatus Upgrade NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Centerville Fire District is seeking sealed bids for the upgrade of a 2003 Ford F550 brush truck, which includes installation of a lift kit and LED lighting upgrades. Notice is hereby given that the proposed budget of the Centerville Fire District, Town of Saugerties, State of New York, for the year 2024 will be presented to the Board of Fire Commissioners for its consideration.
A public hearing will be held at 7pm on Monday, October 16, 2023 at the Centerville Fire House located at 859 Route 212, Saugerties, NY. The purpose of the budget hearing is to allow any person to be heard in favor of or against the proposed budget as it is submitted, or in favor of or against any item or items contained in the proposed budget, and hearing all persons interested in the subject concerning same. The proposed 2024 budget is as follows: Personal Services: $14,000.00 Equipment: $68,800.00 Contractual: $268,053.00 Payroll Deductions: $1,140.00 Workmen’s Comp: $29,250.00 Medical: $8,000.00 Insurance: $65,920.00 Reserve Funds: $273,500.00 LOSAP: $98,216.00 Amy DiCesare - Secretary On Friday, September 29th, at 09:48, Company 19 was dispatched for a reported structure fire in the area of Quarry Road. Upon arrival command advised of a 1 story vacant structure fully involved. First arriving units stretched multiple hand lines and knocked down a bulk of the fire. A machine from Town of Saugerties Highway was brought in to assist with the extensive overhaul. Additional tankers were called from Malden West Camp and Saxton Fire Districts. Standby coverage was provided from Saugerties Fire and Ulster Hose Co 5. Units operated on scene for approximately 3 hours before being placed back in service around 12:30hrs. Also on scene Glasco Fast Team, Diaz Ambulance, Town of Saugerties Pd, Town of Saugerties Building Department, State Police, and the Ulster County Fire Investigation Unit
